Radiance

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009808

The radiant power originating from, passing through, or received by a surface, measured per unit of solid angle and per unit of projected area. It quantifies the intensity of radiation traveling in a specific direction. Radiance is expressed in units of watts per steradian per square meter (W⋅sr⁻¹⋅m⁻²).
