Radiometry

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009899

The measurement of electromagnetic radiation, including visible light, infrared, and ultraviolet radiation, in terms of its power. It quantifies the energy flux of radiation, often expressed in units such as watts per square meter per steradian for radiance, or watts for radiant flux. This field is distinct from photometry, which measures light as perceived by the human eye.
