Luminous flux
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006811
The quantity of the energy of light emitted per unit time, weighted by a luminosity function that models the human eye's sensitivity to different wavelengths. It measures the perceived power of light, focusing on the visible portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. The SI unit for luminous flux is the lumen (lm), which is equivalent to one candela steradian (cd⋅sr).
