Lux
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006818
The SI derived unit of illuminance, representing the luminous flux incident on a surface per unit area. One lux is equivalent to one lumen per square meter, quantifying the intensity of light perceived by the human eye. This unit is used in photometry to specify the brightness of illumination in environments, such as offices or laboratories, and is distinct from radiometric units that measure total electromagnetic power.
