Brightness

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001503

A measure of the perceived intensity of light emitted or reflected by an object. In photochemistry, it often relates to the radiance or luminance of a light source. For fluorescent materials, brightness is related to the quantum yield and the absorption coefficient at the excitation wavelength.
