Photon radiance
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008903
The rate at which photons are emitted, reflected, transmitted, or received by a surface, per unit projected area and per unit solid angle. It describes the directional distribution of photons from a source or surface. The unit for photon radiance is typically photons per square meter per second per steradian (photons m⁻² s⁻¹ sr⁻¹).
