Photon quantities
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008902
Radiometric quantities expressed as numbers of photons instead of energy, such as photon flux, photon irradiance and photon exposure, marked by a subscript p. They are the natural basis in photochemistry, because a reaction depends on how many photons arrive rather than on their total energy. A photon flux in photons per second converts to radiant power on multiplying by the photon energy hν.
