Absorbed photon flux density

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000068

The number of photons of one wavelength absorbed per unit time in each unit volume of an irradiated sample, given per unit wavelength interval. It equals the incident photon flux times one minus ten to the power of minus the absorbance, divided by the sample volume. It appears in the denominator of a differential quantum yield.
