Luminance
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006805
A photometric quantity that describes the luminous intensity emitted or reflected by a surface per unit area, as perceived by the human eye. It quantifies the amount of light passing through or emitted from a particular area in a given direction. Luminance is measured in candelas per square meter (cd/m²).
