Candela
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001589
The SI base unit of luminous intensity, defined as the luminous intensity, in a given direction, of a source that emits monochromatic radiation of frequency 540 x 10^12 hertz and has a radiant intensity in that direction of 1/683 watt per steradian. It quantifies the power emitted by a light source in a particular direction, weighted by the human eye's sensitivity.
