Speed of light in a vacuum

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011172

The constant physical speed at which all electromagnetic radiation, including light, propagates through a perfect vacuum. It is a fundamental constant of nature, denoted by the symbol 'c', and is independent of the motion of the source or observer. Its exact value is defined as 299,792,458 meters per second.
