Speed

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011170

The magnitude of the velocity of a particle or body, representing the rate of change of its position without regard to direction. As a scalar quantity, it is always non-negative and is calculated as the distance traveled divided by the time elapsed. In the International System of Units (SI), speed is expressed in meters per second (m/s).
