Magnetic flux
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006904
A measure of the total magnetic field passing through a given area, representing the number of magnetic field lines penetrating a surface. It is a scalar quantity, calculated as the product of the magnetic field strength perpendicular to the surface and the area. The SI unit for magnetic flux is the weber (Wb), which is equivalent to tesla square meters.
