Static magnetic flux density

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011330

The strength of a constant, non-varying magnetic field, typically denoted by B0, which is applied to a sample in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. This field aligns the nuclear spins, creating an energy difference between spin states. The magnitude of this field determines the Larmor frequency of the nuclei.
