Single crystal nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010888

A specialized nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technique that examines the anisotropic properties of nuclear spins within a macroscopic single crystal. This method provides detailed information about molecular orientation and local electronic environments in the solid state. The observed NMR parameters, such as chemical shift anisotropy and quadrupolar coupling, depend on the crystal's orientation relative to the applied magnetic field.
