Coupling constant
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002649
A parameter in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy that quantifies the interaction between two nuclear spins. It is a measure of the splitting of NMR signals due to spin-spin coupling through chemical bonds. The coupling constant, denoted as J, is typically measured in Hertz (Hz).
