Spin-spin coupling constant
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011224
A parameter that quantifies the interaction between the nuclear spins of different atoms in a molecule, mediated by the bonding electrons. This interaction leads to the splitting of signals in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra, providing structural information. It is denoted by 'J' and measured in hertz (Hz).
