Dipole coupling
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003240
The interaction between two oscillating dipoles, where the energy of one dipole influences the other. This interaction can occur between electric dipoles or magnetic dipoles. In spectroscopy, dipole coupling can lead to energy transfer or spectral line splitting, providing information about molecular structure and dynamics.
