Nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008107

A plot of signal intensity versus frequency in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, displaying peaks that correspond to different chemical environments of nuclei within a molecule. The positions (chemical shifts), intensities, and splitting patterns of these peaks provide detailed structural information. This spectrum is typically obtained by Fourier transformation of the free induction decay signal.
