X-ray spectroscopy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012770
A broad category of analytical techniques that involve the interaction of X-rays with matter to determine elemental composition, chemical state, and electronic structure. These methods typically measure the absorption, emission, or scattering of X-rays. Common applications include X-ray fluorescence (XRF) for elemental analysis and X-ray diffraction (XRD) for structural characterization.
