X-ray diffraction analysis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012754
A non-destructive analytical technique used to determine the atomic and molecular structure of crystalline materials. It involves directing a beam of X-rays at a sample, which then diffracts the X-rays in specific directions according to Bragg's Law. The resulting diffraction pattern provides information about the crystal lattice parameters, atomic positions, and phase composition.
