X-ray computed micro-tomography
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012753
A non-destructive imaging technique that uses X-rays to generate high-resolution three-dimensional images of the internal structure of small objects. Multiple two-dimensional X-ray projections are acquired from different angles as the sample rotates. These projections are then computationally reconstructed to create a detailed 3D representation, revealing features down to micrometer scales.
