Small-angle X-ray scattering
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010951
A non-destructive analytical technique that probes the structure of materials at the nanoscale by analyzing the elastic scattering of X-rays at very small angles. It provides information about the size, shape, and arrangement of inhomogeneities within a sample, such as nanoparticles, polymers, or biological macromolecules. The scattering pattern is typically measured at angles less than a few degrees.
