Grazing-incidence small-angle X-ray scattering analysis

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005021

A surface-sensitive analytical technique that probes the nanostructure of thin films and surfaces by directing an X-ray beam at a very shallow angle to the sample. The scattered X-rays provide information about electron density variations, particle size, shape, and ordering within the near-surface region. This method is particularly effective for studying structures with characteristic dimensions ranging from 1 to 100 nanometers.
