Greater omentum

A large, apron-like fold of peritoneum that hangs down from the greater curvature of the stomach, covering the intestines. This structure contains fat, blood vessels, and lymphatic tissue, contributing to immune defense and fat storage. It can also migrate to areas of inflammation or injury within the abdominal cavity.
