Parietal

Relating to the walls of a body cavity or to the outer layer of an organ. In anatomy, it distinguishes structures that line the cavity from those that cover the organs within it. For example, the parietal peritoneum lines the abdominal cavity, while the visceral peritoneum covers the abdominal organs.
