Serous

Describing a fluid or membrane that is thin, watery, and typically pale yellow, resembling blood serum. Serous membranes line body cavities and cover organs, secreting a lubricating fluid that reduces friction. Examples include the pleura surrounding the lungs and the peritoneum lining the abdominal cavity.
