Omentum

A fold of peritoneum, a membrane lining the abdominal cavity, that extends from the stomach and drapes over other abdominal organs. It contains blood vessels, nerves, and lymphatic tissue, playing a role in immune response and fat storage. There are two main parts: the greater omentum and the lesser omentum.
