Sarcoma

A type of malignant tumor that arises from transformed cells of mesenchymal origin, meaning they originate from connective tissues such as bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, or blood vessels. Unlike carcinomas, which originate from epithelial cells, sarcomas are relatively rare but can occur in any part of the body. Examples include osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and liposarcoma (fat cancer).
