Kaposi sarcoma

A cancer that causes lesions to grow in the skin, lymph nodes, internal organs, and mucous membranes lining the mouth, nose, and throat. It is caused by the Kaposi sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV), also known as human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8). This condition is frequently observed in individuals with compromised immune systems.
