Kamofsky’s law
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006300
The principle stating that any chemical agent can be shown to be teratogenic, or capable of causing birth defects, if administered to the right species at the right dose and developmental stage. This concept highlights that teratogenicity is highly dependent on specific experimental conditions, including the timing of exposure during gestation. It cautions against broadly labeling a substance as a teratogen without specifying the context.
