Thrush

A common fungal infection caused by Candida albicans, typically affecting the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat, but also occurring in other areas like the vagina or skin folds. It presents as creamy white lesions on the tongue, inner cheeks, or other oral surfaces. This infection is more prevalent in infants, immunocompromised individuals, and those using certain medications like antibiotics or corticosteroids.
