Microglossia
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007335
A congenital condition characterized by an abnormally small or rudimentary tongue. This rare developmental anomaly can interfere with feeding, swallowing, and speech development due to the tongue's reduced size and mobility. Microglossia is often associated with other craniofacial abnormalities, particularly those affecting the mandible, as part of a recognized syndrome.
