Agnathia

A congenital malformation characterized by the complete absence of the lower jaw, or mandible. This condition results from developmental failures during embryogenesis, specifically affecting the formation of the first pharyngeal arch structures. It is a rare and severe craniofacial defect, often associated with other developmental anomalies.
