Agnosia

A neurological disorder characterized by the inability to recognize and interpret sensory information, despite intact sensory organs and general cognitive function. Individuals with agnosia can perceive stimuli but cannot assign meaning to them. For example, a person with visual agnosia might see an object but not recognize what it is.
