Mucocutaneous

Relating to the mucous membranes and the skin, particularly the regions where these two types of tissue meet. These junctions, found at body orifices like the mouth, nose, and anus, represent a boundary between the internal and external environments. The term is often used in toxicology and immunology to describe the route of exposure to a substance or the site of a pathological lesion.
