Dissymmetry of scattering
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003334
A measure of the asymmetry in the angular distribution of scattered light, particularly from large particles or macromolecules in solution. It is defined as the ratio of the intensity of light scattered at a given angle to the intensity scattered at the complementary angle. This phenomenon provides information about the size and shape of scattering particles.
