Scattered-ion energy ratio
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010558
The ratio of the kinetic energy of a scattered ion to the kinetic energy of the incident primary ion. This ratio is a function of the masses of the incident ion and the target atom, as well as the scattering angle. It is a fundamental parameter in ion scattering spectrometry for identifying surface elements.
