X-ray intensity

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012760

The power per unit area carried by X-rays, often expressed as the number of photons per unit area per unit time. It quantifies the strength of an X-ray beam, influencing the signal obtained in X-ray analytical techniques. In spectroscopy, it is directly proportional to the concentration of the emitting element under ideal conditions.
