Tomography
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012103
A technique for imaging the internal structure of an object by creating cross-sectional slices from multiple projection measurements. This method reconstructs a three-dimensional representation of the object, revealing details that are obscured in conventional two-dimensional imaging. Common tomographic techniques in medicine include computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
