Tomography
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009690
A technique used to reconstruct a three-dimensional image of an object or medium from multiple two-dimensional projections or measurements. In atmospheric science, it can be applied to map the distribution of atmospheric properties, such as water vapor or temperature, using signals from GPS satellites or ground-based sensors. This method provides detailed spatial information about atmospheric structures.
