Tofan

A strong, dry, and cold wind that blows from the northeast across the Black Sea, particularly affecting the coastal regions of Turkey. This katabatic wind is channeled by topography, accelerating as it descends from higher elevations. It is a localized phenomenon, distinct from larger-scale synoptic winds.
