Shurkiya

A hot, dusty, and often humid southeasterly wind that affects the coastal regions of North Africa. This wind originates over the desert interior and is a regional expression of the sirocco, bringing oppressive weather conditions as it blows toward the Mediterranean Sea. The name is derived from the Arabic word for 'eastern', indicating its characteristic direction.
