triple-Doppler analysis

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009790

A technique used to reconstruct the three-dimensional wind field within a volume of atmosphere by combining radial velocity measurements from three or more Doppler radars. Each radar provides a component of the wind vector along its line of sight. By intersecting these lines of sight, the full wind vector (u, v, w components) can be determined, providing detailed insights into storm dynamics.
