Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003859

A method for imaging the subsurface by measuring the traveltimes of seismic waves that pass through a volume of rock. It reconstructs a velocity model of the Earth by inverting the observed traveltime data. This technique is used to delineate complex geological structures and characterize reservoir properties.
