Crosswell tomography
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000911
A geophysical imaging technique that uses seismic or electromagnetic waves transmitted between two or more wells to create a detailed image of the subsurface. Sensors in one well record signals generated in another, and the travel times or amplitudes are processed to map variations in rock properties between the wells. This method provides high-resolution reservoir characterization, often used to monitor fluid movement during enhanced oil recovery operations.
