Transmission tomography
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003900
A technique that uses the attenuation or travel time of waves passing through a medium to create a cross-sectional image of its internal properties. In formation evaluation, it can be applied to core samples to visualize variations in density or fluid distribution. This method provides detailed spatial information about the rock's internal structure.
