Seismic reflection tomography
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004442
A method used to create detailed images of subsurface structures by analyzing the travel times of reflected seismic waves. It inverts the observed travel times to determine the velocity distribution of the rock layers. This technique provides higher resolution velocity models than conventional seismic processing, particularly for complex geological settings.
