Crosswell reflection tomography
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000909
A seismic imaging method that uses reflected seismic waves traveling between boreholes to create high-resolution images of the subsurface. A seismic source in one well generates waves that reflect off geological interfaces, and receivers in an adjacent well record the reflected energy. This technique provides detailed structural information about reservoir architecture and faulting between wells, with resolutions often in the meter range.
