Downhole receiver
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001152
A sensor deployed within a borehole to detect seismic waves that have traveled through the subsurface. These devices, often geophones or hydrophones, record the arrival times and amplitudes of reflected or refracted energy. Data from downhole receivers provide high-resolution information about the geological formations surrounding the wellbore.
